The list goes on. Killer Infographics cemented that notion even further when they found the following stats regarding emails containing coupons:

  • 14% higher unique open rates
  • 48% higher revenue per email
  • 3.3% clickthrough rates for emails linking to in-store printable coupons (compared to just 1.8% for online coupon codes, which are still higher than the industry average)
Even if your mailing campaign goal is to promote an event or an attraction, it may be helpful — purely as a means to increase open rates — to include and mention a coupon deal within the body of the email and in the subject line.
